City Snake at work!

Amazing! This little guy managed to find his way to the 6 floor of the building in which I work! I was shaking with excitement when I saw him!
He has since slithered off toward to service elevator. I hope he finds his way to safety!

Garment District Snakes

Saw these near my work. They didn't seem to notice all the noise of the morning commute around them.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Here are some City Snakes spotted in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Young male. It is tempting to want to pick them up an move them to safety, but alas, we must not interfere with nature.

Mature male.

Here we can see two different varieties. City Snakes will not necessarily act aggressively toward one another, provided there is no competition for food, or other perceived threat.

Sorry for the delay!

Sorry it has taken so long to update the blog/twitter/facebook page. I recently started working, which is great. However, it really limits the time I can spend on the hunt for these majestic beings. I will try my best to get some more pictures up before it gets too cold, and they go into hiding for the winter months.
A very long, but still quite young City Snake, near Central Park. The Park provides shelter for many species, though the number of people, dogs, etc, tends to make City Snakes more elusive here.
